Commit Yourself To Greatness
I was at my daughter’s game recently, and a friend asked where my wife was. I mentioned that she was at school helping out, and that my wife is very involved. “Involved?” my friend exclaimed, “no, your wife is committed! Most people are involved but few are committed.” The friend went on to share the difference. By the time she had finished her explanation, I realized the difference between what it takes to be involved and what it takes to be committed.
Are you committed or involved? Give it some thought.
Involvement takes little energy or effort. Involved people treat International Training Events like a getaway, almost like a vacation. Committed people come to events for a reason: a passion to learn and develop. You can see the difference between those who are committed and those that are involved. Just look at ACN’s leaders.
The upcoming International Training Event falls at the end of the month and the end of one of ACN’s most successful summer quarters ever. The committed person understands this and will make Charlotte a working weekend. They will be prepared, focused, accessible, and will stay in contact with everyone at the event and even those who couldn’t make it. They are determined to move their team forward. The involved person will hope someone else takes action, will hope someone else steps up, will hope they have a productive month, will hope they meet up with their team, and will hope someone back home keeps working. Decide whether you will be committed or involved the weekend of the Charlotte Event, the choice is yours. A committed person is prepared to build their business through a weekend like this.
How to come prepared:
- Bring your contact list, and include the people you are most afraid to call. We can give you courage!
- Bring a list of potential customers – you will better understand our services
- Have names and numbers of prospects with notes on each, including their “why”
- Bring the names of prospects you have personally encouraged to attend PBRs or weekly meetings over the last 30- 60 days
- Bring the names and contact information of down line prospects you have met at meetings and PBRs over the last 30- 60 days
- Bring an open mind and prepare to be led by example
- Be prepared to make calls
You will never have a better environment or have more support than you will right there in the arena. This will be one of the most amazing weekends in the history of our company. We will have announcements, training and game planning set up to help each and every person be prepared for our biggest fourth quarter ever, but also to help the prepared committed person make the last weekend of the month the most productive one they have ever had.
To the committed: let’s make the Charlotte International Training weekend cap off your biggest month ever.
Wishing you all success,
Mike Kane
VP of North American Sales

Wow ! Thank you Mr. Kane for all this precious informartion! It will make a big difference in the way I prepare for that event – COMMITTED !!! Lucie Bernier, Moncton, N.B. Canada
Indeed Lucie… COMMITTED
The difference in being involved and being committed. A chicken and a hog were discussing on ways that they could help with breakfast and the chicken said, “I will give the eggs” and the hog said, ” I will give the ham” The chicken gave the eggs did not cost him anything (involved), but the hog gave the ham and it cost him everything. (COMMITTED)
Good Content. Perfect Info.
Every action etched in our minds manifests itself in reality towards our goals.

Charlotte will change alot of lives and it will sure fire me up. Here is a saying…..YOU ARE NOT IN ACN UNLESS ACN IS IN YOU…….Acn all the way and thanks for the tips. Thanks MR. KANE….we love ya

what an incredible message, mr kane! every IBO should read this!!!
I am COMMITTED to my ACN business and I will be ready to do what every it take to make my family future with ACN the best . I am COMMITTED for LIFE
Thank you MR. KANE
Mr. Kane, you have the gift of making the point that needs to be made, when it needs to be made – with a flair that is singularly yours! Be assured, we will share every word with those who exhibit, or aspire, to the level of commitment required for full-blown success in ACN – and in life!
For those who are simply “involved,” your remarks may ignite an understanding that merely “showing up” as a spectator to ACN precludes the ability to merit or receive the rewards that are certain to the Committed! Plaudits for a job always well done!
Mr. Kane,
Your a champion!
Thank you for the great advice!!!
Thanks for the great game plan Mr. Kane! I know Charlotte will launch the best quarter ever in the history of the company. I am committed to help make that happen!
Incredible message, Mr. Kane…. as I sit here and reflect on what these events have done for not only my business but my for my life…i get so choked up. I was a woman needing change.. needing a better way to provide.. needing peace of mind… needing a sense of security… needing hope! As I walked into my first International event.. I knew all of my needs would be met! We never acted to be “involved” or “interested”… we did exactly what you are sharing with us… we committed! Once again… an International event is days away.. I am thrilled with excitement for what this weekend will do for all of us in closing out 2012 but more importantly… for those that COMMIT and take action in Charlotte will see a year ahead of themselves in 2013 like they have never seen or lived before. So… Mr Kane,… here we come! Your COMMITTED leaders! We are going to make this a WORKING weekend and take FULL action and not allow it to be just a weekend to remember… a past memory…NO!!!! WE ARE CHOOSING TO LIVE IT!! 100%!!! Thank you for your guidance.. your mentorship.. your friendship… means the world to me and my family!
Thanks, Mr. kane I will be making every effort to follow the advise of Great leaders in this company.
20 years ago, next month, we committed ourselves to this incredible opportunity. With blind faith on a wing and a pray, we committed ourselves to follow the most incredible Founders a company could ever have. Some have said OUR commitment was unusual. However, WE know, the Founder’s commitment to US, was EXTRAORDINARY!! They showed us VISION and TIRELESS, FOCUSED, WORK ETHIC. With ALL the risk falling on THEIR shoulders, instead of ours, they did everything with NON-NEGOTIABLE INTEGRITY and CHARACTER. Their COMMITMENT to us has been UNTIRING, UNWAVERING and nothing short of ABOVE and BEYOND COMMITMENT. Following their EXAMPLE, gave us the inspiration, strength and courage for us to commit to others.
Mr. Kane, I appreciate YOUR COMMITMENT to all of us as well and your wonderful message.
In Charlotte, let’s follow Mr. Kane’s timely advice and follow the incredible example of the Co-Founders and BE that COMMITTED LEADER, that COMMITTED EXAMPLE to someone else.
You never know, how YOUR COMMITMENT this one weekend could change your life forever.
What you do or what you don’t do will both have consequences.
CHOOSE the consequences you want and commit accordingly.
You never know, one day, someone may be inspired to write about how the EXAMPLE OF YOUR COMMITMENT changed THEIR life forever.
Thank you Mr. Kane. We are inspired to COMMIT at our 80th event next weekend. WE ARE SO BLESSED!! WE ARE SO GRATEFUL!!
